Nikon is developing the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S and NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8 Lenses

Nikon officially announced it’s developing the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S, a fast mid-telephoto prime lens, and the NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8, a slim wide-angle prime lens, for full-frame (FX-format) Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras.

Nikon’s tight-lipped about the details of their ultrafast telephoto prime, with only the focal length and maximum aperture revealed – plus the 82mm front filter thread revealed through their product image released alongside the press release. As of yet, no pricing or availability info has been provided, but they’ll be on show at CES 2023 in Las Vegas from Jan 5-8.

The NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S is part of the S-Line1 NIKKOR Z lens series, and realizes both superior rendering performance and large, beautiful bokeh. It expands possibilities for users capturing portraits in areas such as weddings and fashion.
