It looks like Nikon will be really stepping up their lens game in 2023, with 8 highly-anticipated releases on the roadmap – ranging from premium high-end optics to more budget-friendly pancake and DX lenses! It seems users are in for a treat this year, with a variety of lenses to choose from at reasonable prices.
I’m curious to see if Nikon can deliver on their ambitious goal of releasing eight brand-new lenses by 2023. That would be almost double the amount they released last year! Can they do it? I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
Personally, I’m intrigued by the 26mm pancake lens that appears to be compatible with APS-C. Although it’s possible to use it with a full-frame camera, there may be issues with peripheral dimming and distortion, like with the 28mm. Interestingly, the mount seems to be made of metal, unlike the 28mm and 40mm. I’m really curious to see how this ultra-compact lens will be marketed. Stay tuned for more updates in the future!
